In this article I’ve given a small example and tips on keyword selection from Google AdWords or PPC Marketing Agency. As AdWords uses CPC instead of PPC, so in this article I’ve used CPC for your convenience.


After logging into Google AdWords and visiting the ‘Keyword Tool’ option you’ll find three text boxes and one filter option. All the three text boxes must be empty, whereas you need to set your locality by clicking on the ‘location box’ and change it your country or region. Now write your keyword and in the first text box ‘Word or Phrase’ and click on ‘Search’ button (just leave blank in other two boxes). You may write four, five keywords one after one in the first text box; however it is not wise to do so.

Keyword CPC Management Practices

For example, here I’ve entered a text as ‘accident attorney’ which show a local monthly search value of 368, 000 with an approximate CPC of Rs.3, 415.00 (approx. US $62). See the competition for the word ‘accident attorney’ is high; there is no average or low value for that. In the ‘Keyword ideas’ option you can see 800 alternate keywords of ‘accident attorney’ which is really a demanding in U.S. but it can be a tough task to find a proper keyword from 800 words. However, there is a method of sort-outing the keywords and remember how:

If you click on ‘Approximate CPC (search) option, you can see the highest average CPC to lowest one; and if you click on ‘Competition’ option, you’ll able to see the keyword competition high to low or low to high. Similarly other two options also (Global Monthly Searches and Local Monthly Searches).
  2. You can see some keywords having high CPC but less global and local searches and some have less CPC but high search values. So, choose the keywords which have medium competition, average search value with higher CPC. You may not get medium competition words with higher CPC, but there must be some keywords with a nearby high CPC value. If a medium competition word has higher CPC but don’t have that much of search results don’t attempt such.  
  3. Instead you can choose high competition words which have an average search values in locally and globally; it can be helpful. But never go for highest CPC with less search values or low competition. This is because, low competition keywords are rarely searchable in net; high competition keywords are extremely searchable but difficult to rise among top listed sites. Therefore, opt for medium competition words which are regularly searchable and have a good CPC also.

If you still didn’t found an attractive keyword for your business, keep on searching from the medium competition words. Click on the keywords you’ll see an option as ‘Show more like this’ and after clicking on it you’ll see a list of some more related words. Then choose an appropriate from that.

SEO Keywords Optimization by Merging

Sometime you can create you blog or website title by merging three or four keywords into a sentence. For example, take a post title as “Mortgage Loan and Attorney: Beware Always!” In this sentence all the three words mortgage, loan and attorney have high Cost-Per-Click values; $47.12, $44.28 and $47.07 respectively and it was merged to create highly optimized title for blog or post. 


Similarly words, trading, hosting, software, recovery, degree, classes etc. have high CPC values. Let us merge and create some titles here;
