Heading tags are very important for every article. If your article consist several paragraphs, then start each and every paragraph with title tagged with small heading tags <h3>…</h3> or <h4>…</h4> You can use <h2>…</h2> for big paragraphs that consists some listed lines and/or more paragraphs with <h3> and <h4> heading tags. 

Heading tags are used to emphasis or highlight important lines or paragraph heading; however there are certain limitations or restrictions on using the heading tags in an article. So, let us know how to use the heading tags properly.

How to Use Heading Tags in a Page?

As a common every page title is kind of heading tag which was created automatically while creating or posting an article. Therefore never use an immediate heading tag just after the page title. Write some summary of 3-4 lines then start a paragraph title with <h2>, <h3> or <h4> tags. 
  • Don’t mention heading tags <h2> and <h3> for single or two lined paragraphs; you can mentioned that headings with <strong> or <em> tags;
  • Don’t create unnecessary heading tags in a page with small article;
  •  Avoid wrong nesting of heading tags; such as <h2> tag inside a <h3> or <h4> tag. It can conflict the reader to detect which is the main paragraph and which are the sub-paragraphs;
  • Never use single lines for styling the font with heading tags; use important paragraph’s titles with heading tags only;
  • In addition, never use a complete paragraph or page with heading tags for bigger fonts.
